Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Washington, DC | Contract Opportunity | 6+ Months


Green Key Resources is partnering with a mission-driven organization to recruit an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across a range of HR functions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and hands-on support in employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, change management, and talent initiatives.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a consultative environment and enjoys partnering closely with leadership to solve complex people challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to assigned business units, providing guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Advise managers and leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns.
  • Support organizational changes, team effectiveness initiatives, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Coach leaders through performance issues, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee situations.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to identify opportunities and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Develop and deliver clear, professional communications, including manager guidance, employee communications, and change management materials.
  • Lead and support HR projects from planning through execution, ensuring successful implementation and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and internal stakeholders to deliver HR programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Utilize HRIS systems for reporting, analytics, and operational support.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR Business Partner responsibilities.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, and organizational consulting.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise leaders at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience supporting organizational change and driving HR initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present people-related data.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
