Our client, a global advertising agency, is seeking an IT Project Manager to join their team!


Essential Functions:

• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end with project plans and associated communications documents

• Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks

• Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget

• Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation

• Perform risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans

• Communicate timely project information, issues, risks, or status to the various stakeholders through appropriate methods and channels.

• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

• Resolve resource constraints and/or conflicts that affect multiple projects for our developers and Sys Admins

Handle Ad hoc project requests from users

• Manage Junior Project Manager

• Act as a coach to junior project managers, and other IT staff who need assistance and advice regarding project management practices

• Review work plan of external service providers contracted to execute project

• Coordinate agency wide communications from IT department

• Schedule, plan and coordinate events for the IT department


Requirements/Qualifications:

• 4 year degree required (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business)

• Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial, and communication skills, as this is a highly visible position with substantial impact

• 3-5 years of project management experience on both small and large scale complex projects

• Familiar with project management methodologies (for example, PMI, and Agile), certification preferred but not required

• Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully utilizing "soft skills" or "people skills"

• Demonstrated sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadership

• Basic understanding of IT technologies and methodologies • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced creative environment with excellent customer service skills

• Ability to interact with internal clients (and external vendors as needed) at a variety of levels and across functions

• A proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail and follow through skills

• Ability to prioritize a large number of tasks and self manage

• After hours work required.
