The Law Library Academic Support Specialist (graduate student assistant) will assist library staff in the daily operation of the law library. The law library academic support specialist will help in technical services, circulation and interlibrary loan, basic research questions, orientation, and other administrative support in the law library. This position offers an opportunity to develop professional skills in a law library setting, with a focus on enhancing student engagement and academic experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of La Verne Student Reliable Transportation (This position is located at the Ontario Law School Campus). Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn library-specific software.
Preferred Qualifications
Federal Work Study is preferred, but not required. Experience working in a library or academic support setting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule
The library is open from Monday through Friday, 8AM-7:00PM. Saturday 9AM-6PM Friday Morning starting at 8AM Monday through Friday Closing shifts ending at 7:00PM All day Saturday 9AM-6PM This position works at the College of Law Library in Ontario, CA. This position does not work at the main campus in La Verne, CA.
