Role Description This is a full-time, on-site mortgage role based in Troy, MI. The position involves guiding clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation and pre-qualification to application, underwriting coordination, and closing. Daily responsibilities include reviewing financial documents, explaining loan products, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. Team members will communicate frequently with borrowers, real estate professionals, and internal staff to deliver a smooth, timely, and transparent loan experience. The role also includes contributing to local marketing efforts, following up on leads, and supporting the company’s growth in existing and new markets.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Mortgages and Mortgage Lending, including knowledge of loan products, underwriting basics, and regulatory considerations.
• Candidates should possess skills in Mortgage Marketing and Customer Service, with the ability to build relationships, follow up on leads, and provide a positive borrower experience.
• Candidates should possess skills in Finance, including analyzing income, credit, and debt-to-income ratios to assess borrower eligibility.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple files, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
• Prior mortgage, lending, or financial services experience is highly beneficial; NMLS licensing or eligibility to obtain it is preferred.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and collaborating with colleagues on-site in Troy, MI.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
