Process Engineer – Beaumont, TX

Arkema’s Beaumont Plant is seeking a Process Engineer to provide advanced technical support, drive continuous improvement, and optimize performance across multiple chemical production units within the Thiochemicals business.

In this high-impact, on-site role, you’ll partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and Engineering to improve safety, reliability, and throughput while serving as a key technical leader.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the process engineering expert for units including Methyl Mercaptan, DMS, H₂S, Acrolein, and more
• Analyze production data and troubleshoot process issues to improve efficiency and reliability
• Lead and support process improvements, debottlenecking, and energy optimization efforts
• Provide technical support during turnarounds, upsets, and critical events
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving
• Support and lead process safety initiatives (PHA, incident investigations, PSM compliance)
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to site-wide technical leadership

What You Bring

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years in chemical manufacturing
• Strong expertise in process troubleshooting & unit operations
• Experience leading technical issues from problem identification to solution implementation
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
