Accounting Manager / Controller

💰 $125,000–$150,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

I'm partnering with a well-established and growing organization in Western Massachusetts that is looking to add an experienced Accounting Manager / Controller to its leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, this is a highly visible position responsible for overseeing the company's accounting and financial operations while playing a key role in long-term strategic planning. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, forecasting, and business strategy.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Develop long-term financial models, cash flow forecasts, and strategic planning analyses to support continued business growth.
• Oversee the financial management of a growing commercial real estate portfolio, including cash flow tracking, financial reporting, and acquisition support.
• Review inventory valuation, depreciation schedules, and operational financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight, recommendations, and strategic decision support.
• Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the finance function.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience supporting commercial real estate accounting, property management financials, or acquisition accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build long-term financial models.
• ERP experience required; exposure to Quantum Control or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with executive leadership.
