pdPlus is a full-service ecommerce and retail media agency based in Austin, TX, offering advertising, content, marketing strategy, copywriting, and more for a growing portfolio of brands across consumer health, apparel, food & beverage, pet, and industrial products. We move fast, communicate directly, and own outcomes for our clients.
We're looking for an Advertising Strategist to take full ownership of advertising strategy and performance across a book of client accounts. This is a client-facing role: you'll set the strategic direction, direct monthly budgets against real business goals, lead performance conversations with brand stakeholders, and coordinate execution with our internal team. What You'll Do
- Own advertising strategy across your accounts — Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP
- Set and direct monthly ad budgets against client margins, revenue, TACoS/ACoS, and growth targets, including pacing, reallocation, and forecasting
- Serve as the primary advertising contact for your clients: lead monthly performance reviews, present strategy recommendations, and turn data into clear narratives stakeholders can act on
- Partner with pdPlus Brand Managers to align advertising with overall account health, listing quality, promotions, and inventory realities
- Manage and optimize campaigns through Xnurta — automation rules, dayparting, and AMC-driven audience strategies
- Build full-funnel DSP strategies (retargeting, in-market, NTB audiences) and integrate them with sponsored ads performance
- Contribute to audits, forecasts, and strategy documents for new business pitches and quarterly planning
- Track category and competitor trends and proactively bring growth opportunities to clients
What You Bring
- US-based and authorized to work in the United States
- 2–4 years of hands-on Amazon Advertising experience (agency or in-house, managing meaningful monthly spend)
- Direct experience with Xnurta for campaign management and reporting
- Amazon DSP experience — building, launching, and optimizing programmatic campaigns
- Amazon Ads Academy certification (or willingness to certify within 90 days)
- Proven experience setting Amazon advertising strategy at the account level — not just executing campaigns
- Experience managing monthly ad budgets, including pacing and forecasting
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal operators and key stakeholders
- Strong client-facing communication skills — comfortable leading calls, presenting performance, and handling tough conversations
- Fluency in TACoS, Contribution Margin, NTB, AMC, and incrementality
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets and reporting skills — you can build a clear story from data

Nice to Have
- Walmart Connect or Roundel (Target) advertising experience
- Experience with other retail media or ad platforms (Instacart, Kroger, Google, Meta)
- Prior agency experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously

- $75,000–$90,000 base salary, depending on experience
