Senior U.S. Equity Sales Trader – New YorkA leading global financial institution is seeking a Senior U.S. Equity Sales Trader to join its U.S. Markets team in New York. This role is focused on building and deepening institutional client relationships, delivering market insight, and executing equity trades across both primary and secondary markets. The position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a growing platform within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand relationships with institutional clients, providing informed perspectives on U.S. equity market developments and factors impacting trading strategies.
  • Execute client orders across U.S. equity markets, coordinating closely with trading desks to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
  • Generate and grow order flow across both primary and secondary markets, including supporting capital markets transactions and identifying block trading opportunities.
  • Allocate time and resources strategically across clients and products to maximize revenue generation.
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance low-touch and electronic trading capabilities, as well as collaborate with specialized trading strategies groups where relevant.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; FINRA Series 7TO, 57, and 63 licenses required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience covering institutional clients in a sales trading capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. equity markets, including current trends, structure, and trading dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a commercial mindset and strong communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and adherence to market conduct standards.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with clients regularly.
