Sourcing Coordinator

My client is seeking an experienced Sourcing Coordinator to support sourcing, costing, product development, and vendor management for rugs, bath rugs, runners, accent rugs, and kitchen mats. This role requires strong overseas vendor management, costing expertise, and experience supporting major retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication with overseas vendors and agents in China, India, Turkey, and Egypt.
• Develop competitive product costing aligned with customer requirements and target margins.
• Review and engineer costs including packaging, testing, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Analyze repeat SKU costing opportunities based on market conditions and raw material fluctuations.
• Coordinate replenishment schedules, production changes, and rollout orders.
• Partner with Sales, Design, Product Development, Planning, and Packaging teams.
• Track product development and samples from request through receipt.
• Monitor factory capacity and production timelines.
• Participate in weekly development and production meetings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of sourcing experience with overseas vendors.
• Strong experience in rugs, bath rugs, runners, accent rugs, and kitchen mats.
• Advanced costing, negotiation, and Excel skills.
• Experience supporting Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, and TJX programs.
• Established vendor relationships in Turkey, India, China, and Egypt.
• Knowledge of trade compliance, testing requirements, production timelines, and logistics.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Home textiles experience required; apparel experience is a plus.
