  • Develop innovative master plans, site layouts, circulation strategies, and development concepts.
  • Develop building frameworks, massing studies, and spatial planning strategies that integrate architectural design with urban planning and placemaking principles.
  • Apply architectural thinking to shape cohesive, buildable environments that support the overall vision for each project.
  • Perform land use, density, feasibility, and entitlement analyses.
  • Apply Florida planning, zoning, and land development regulations throughout the design process.
  • Present planning and design concepts to clients, municipalities, and review boards.
  • Collaborate closely with landscape architects, architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Guide projects from concept through entitlement while maintaining the integrity of the original design vision.
  • Mentor junior planners and designers while contributing to EDSA's collaborative design culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • 5–6 years of professional experience in architecture, urban design, master planning, or a related design discipline.
  • Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, resort, or large-scale master planning projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with private developers, institutional owners, or public-private development teams.
  • Understanding of the real estate development process from acquisition through entitlement, design, permitting, construction, and project delivery.
  • Experience evaluating development feasibility, land use efficiency, density, circulation, parking, open space, and project phasing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with developers, investors, architects, engineers, attorneys, and municipal agencies.
  • Familiarity with Florida planning, zoning, and land development regulations.
  • Excellent graphics, presentation, visualization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines while contributing architectural thinking throughout the planning and design process.

Preferred

  • Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure.
  • AICP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with entitlement processes.
  • Experience presenting design concepts to clients, municipalities, or public agencies.
