The Vice President of Corporate Real Estate & Workplace Operations will lead the strategy and performance of a complex corporate real estate portfolio and the services that support it. This executive will align real estate, lease management, facilities, workplace operations, capital investments, and related programs with broader business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings strategic vision and operational leadership, with the ability to evaluate portfolio needs, improve performance, manage significant financial responsibilities, and lead teams and external partners across a multifaceted organization.


Real Estate Portfolio & Lease Strategy

  • Develop and execute long-term real estate and portfolio strategies aligned with organizational priorities, workforce needs, and financial objectives.
  • Lead portfolio planning and optimization across owned and leased properties, identifying opportunities for consolidation, expansion, acquisition, disposition, and capital investment.
  • Oversee lease strategy and administration, including negotiations, renewals, contract management, critical dates, financial obligations, and ongoing landlord and tenant relationships.
  • Direct real estate transactions, site evaluations, and location planning in partnership with brokers, consultants, legal counsel, and other external partners.
  • Manage strategies related to tenant-occupied and surplus properties to maximize portfolio performance and long-term value.
  • Provide senior leadership with data-driven recommendations related to portfolio planning, leasing decisions, workplace investments, and major real estate initiatives.
  • Establish governance, performance standards, reporting, and accountability across the real estate and workplace function.


Facilities & Workplace Operations

  • Provide executive leadership for facilities and workplace operations across a geographically dispersed portfolio.
  • Ensure corporate environments are safe, efficient, reliable, compliant, and aligned with the needs of employees and the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement across building operations, workplace services, space utilization, maintenance, and service delivery.
  • Identify and implement new technologies, systems, and operational practices that improve portfolio performance and the workplace experience.
  • Oversee programs supporting business continuity, emergency preparedness, safety, and operational resiliency.


Capital Projects & Workplace Planning

  • Lead the planning and execution of major capital projects, renovations, relocations, and workplace improvements.
  • Ensure projects are aligned with business requirements, financial objectives, operational needs, and long-term asset strategies.
  • Provide executive oversight of project budgets, schedules, external consultants, contractors, and other delivery partners.


Financial & Vendor Leadership

  • Provide financial oversight of significant capital and operating budgets associated with the corporate real estate portfolio.
  • Develop and evaluate business cases for major real estate decisions and investments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio economics, operating performance, cost efficiency, and long-term value.
  • Develop and manage relationships with outsourced service providers, brokers, consultants, contractors, landlords, and other strategic partners.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability measures for internal teams and external partners.


Executive & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for corporate real estate, facilities, workplace operations, and related functions.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on real estate, workplace, operational, and investment decisions.
  • Partner across Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other business functions.
  • Translate complex financial, operational, and real estate information into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers.
  • Build a high-performing organization focused on collaboration, accountability, innovation, and measurable business results.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, engineering, architecture, facilities management, business, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate real estate, facilities, workplace operations, portfolio management, construction, or related functions.
  • Significant leadership experience within a complex corporate real estate environment.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise-level real estate and workplace strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio planning, transactions, lease management and administration, facilities operations, capital projects, and vendor management.
  • Experience managing significant operating and capital budgets and developing business cases for major investments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex teams and manage relationships with external service providers and strategic partners.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience using portfolio data, financial analysis, technology, and performance metrics to improve decision-making and operational results.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple business functions and advise senior leadership on complex real estate and workplace matters.
