Spent 60 minutes in general session at #LeadingAgeBOLD yesterday. Left the room more convinced of something. The gap between the senior care organizations that will lead the next decade and the ones that will struggle isn't technology. It's self-awareness. The data we presented, from 1,900+ LTC applicants and 400+ hiring leaders, paints an uncomfortable picture of where most senior living organizations fall short. 70% of candidates research your reputation before they ever apply. Only 40% of senior living employers actively invest in employer branding. 73% abandon applications that take too long. 54% complete their entire job search on a smartphone. 95% of senior living employers report candidate ghosting. The top reason? Lack of communication and transparency. 89% of candidates expect to be interviewed within one week of applying. The organizations that do the work will have their pick of the experienced talent shifting into our industry as AI reshapes white-collar work. The ones that don't will keep losing candidates to the community down the street that responds within 24 hours. Thanks to LeadingAge California for the platform.
