Great to welcome Congressman Adam Smith to Avalanche! As a Washington state representative and a longtime supporter of innovation and advanced technology, it was a pleasure to show him the work happening right here in his district. We toured our fusion machine shop, materials science laboratory, and fusion test facilities. We shared how our team is advancing fusion energy, developing next-generation materials including High-Entropy Alloys (HEAs), and supporting national programs such as DARPA’s Rads to Watts initiative. Fusion represents one of the most important technological pursuits of our time, and we’re proud to be building that future in the Seattle region. From advanced manufacturing and materials science to fusion energy development, we’re helping establish the Pacific Northwest as a growing hub for fusion innovation.
