March has been a whirlwind. And I don’t want it to end without once again celebrating International Women’s Month. This month, I had the opportunity to attend the an event hosted by A LA LATINA, Claudia Romo Edelman, Cynthia Kleinbaum Milner and Carolina Guardiola Romo. And like many of the spaces they create, it was thoughtful, energizing, and deeply intentional in how it brought people together. There were many powerful moments, but one thing I was reminded of stayed with me. It goes back to advice I often share - especially with women who ask how to stand out, how to be heard, how to make their presence felt. Bring your originality to life. Intentionally. For me, that has meant embracing bright colors, often a monochrome look. Not because it’s about appearance, but because it’s about being seen, being remembered, and creating a connection between your executive presence and your voice. In fact, during a panel at A LA LATINA, someone stopped me afterward to tell me she remembered a specific comment and my blue dress. The only problem? I hadn’t made that comment, the panelist next to me had. Clear evidence that your presence matters and that how you show up can make you more memorable. And here’s what I’ve learned: ✨ It doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. ✨ Your originality doesn’t need permission - it needs expression. ✨ And it should support, not distract from, the value you bring. We spend so much time focusing on the work. But how we show up is also part of how that work lands. As we close out this month, I’m reminded that originality isn’t just personal, it’s powerful. Let’s keep showing up fully, intentionally, and as ourselves.
