While the holding companies increasingly focus on media, data and becoming software companies, those of us that grew up in what was affectionately called “below the line” are thriving and realizing we should have worked more closely together all along. This is the exact shift we are seeing too. The experiential shops that grew up knowing how to move a room are now the ones clients trust to build the digital layer that lasts after teardown. Holding cos went all in on media buying and forgot how to make things people actually want to be inside.
