AWHQ was never just a venue. It was a movement - an icon of Austin cool that stood for music, art, and mavericks. Today, it returns as a symbol for the weird, the inclusive, and the wildly creative, with a renewed mission to support local artists, honor the past, and invite the community to help shape what comes next. With Candice helping lead the charge, we’re excited to continue reviving and celebrating the Armadillo through the voices, stories, and the culture of Austin itself. The venue is gone.
