Germany has introduced a salt-air battery that could reshape energy storage. Using salt, air, and carbon instead of lithium, it’s safer, cheaper, nearly fully recyclable, and built to last for decades. Designed for large renewable grids, it could make solar and wind power reliable even during long periods without sun or wind.
