We’re pleased to welcome Emma Foley to the CCAT Board. Emma is the Managing Director of Uber Australia and New Zealand. Emma joined Uber 11 years ago, helping build the business in Wellington before leading the launch of Uber Eats in New Zealand as the country's first Uber Eats Country Manager. She then spent more than three years based in Mexico City, leading strategy and growth for Uber Eats across Latin America. Returning to Australia and New Zealand, Emma led Driver and Marketplace Operations across Australia and New Zealand while also serving as General Manager for Uber's Mobility business in New Zealand. She was appointed Managing Director in 2024. On her appointment to the Board, Emma said: “At Uber, we’re building the future of transport, one that is increasingly electric, shared and autonomous. Around the world, we’re already seeing autonomous vehicle technology unlock new ways to help people move more efficiently and support local communities, with AV services now operating in markets including the US and Dubai. Australia has the foundations to be a global leader in autonomous mobility, with strong institutions, world-class infrastructure and growing momentum toward a national regulatory framework. I’m pleased to be joining the CCAT Board and look forward to working alongside government and industry to ensure autonomous technology is introduced safely, responsibly and in a way that delivers real benefits for Australians.” Emma's appointment reinforces CCAT's position at the intersection of global innovation and Australian transport policy, bringing the perspective of one of the world's leading mobility platforms as we work with government and industry to accelerate the safe deployment of connected and automated transport across Australia.
