What is the obsession with killing things? I hear that term so often: UI is DEAD, SaaS is DEAD, AI is going to KILL the job market... It's kind of interesting to see that term rebound with all these AI CEOs fearing for their lives, like molotov cocktails flying through Altman's window... Like YOU threatened that 100% of white collar jobs would be wiped off the face of the earth this year and that everyone should just go to trade school and do physical labor like we all work in a gulag or some shit. Goodness gracious me what goes around comes around folks. Be careful what you wish for. Pay attention, notice how all those folks changed their tune when they realized that wasn't too popular... Ironic how socially isolated folks have no idea how their sentiment lands with people in real life. I knew billionaires were out of touch but holy shit it's almost like pure stupidity. You threaten EVERYONE's livelihood and expect there not to be consequences? Again, as the Great Charlie Brown would say: "Good Grief!"

I totally remember that — watched it live. I have never seen 5,000 developers in the same room with the CEO basically refuse to clap at his pauses as the demo went on. That was surreal and awkward. And OpenAI basically lifted Google Labs work for their product … seriously lifted the UX and everything. I was like … what the hell?!!

I'm biased, but using orchestration platform built inside another platform as a second-class citizen is the worst vendor lock possible. Orchestration should happen from outside and be well-integrated with your tools and platforms, not from inside of one of the tools. In the opposite case, vendor will decide what you can and can't integrate with. For example, competing AI vendors. For orchestration platforms like Runtara , n8n or Activepieces vendor lock is defined by a sunk cost of orchestrated systems. Thus the motivation is to support as many tools as possible. For providers with another product being the primary offer, it's very tempting to provide an orchestration layer forcing user to a certain vendor.
