Around 3,000 years ago, the Greek poet Homer wrote about an epic journey across the Mediterranean in search of home. Today, we see a parallel playing out in the stories of the millions of refugees who’ve fled wars and faced the waves in search of a better life. Much like in The Odyssey, the route towards a safe place to call home is lined with danger. The people making this journey include men, women and children, most of whom have already lost everything. Today, as we mark the release of the film "The Odyssey," we are reminded of the over 118 million people who have been forcibly displaced around the world. Whether they’re crossing countries, continents or the high seas, we’ll never stop advocating for safe routes to a place to call home.

What a beautiful parallel.
