One year ago today, my father passed away from complications related to pancreatic cancer—just four short months after his diagnosis. Today, I’m honoring him by handing out homemade Pop-Tarts (one of his favorite snacks) and collecting donations for Project Purple®. More than 50% of pancreatic cancer cases are diagnosed at Stage IV, and Project Purple is dedicated to finding a cure while improving the lives of patients through support, hope, and compassion.
