Jennifer Dolin’s Post

As I embark on an exciting new chapter in my career, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my former employer, #MercyHousing, and my remarkable colleagues for an incredible journey of growth, learning, and impact. A special thank you to Katie Lamont and Roxanne Huey (acting CEOs), the leadership team, and the TNDC Board of Directors, who exemplify what it means to lead with heart, purpose, and dedication. Growing up in San Francisco and the Bay Area, I was shaped by our neighborhoods' vibrancy, challenges, and resilience. This new role is my opportunity to give back to the communities that nurtured me—a chance to contribute to the same kind of transformative work that has made such a difference in my life. My journey in community development began in New York City, where I had the privilege of working with Rosanne Haggerty and the team at the Times Square Hotel. Those early experiences in #supportivehousing laid the foundation for my passion and commitment to addressing housing challenges with innovative and compassionate solutions. I also want to honor the residents of affordable housing whose stories have profoundly impacted me. Their resilience, hope, and determination inspire me daily and underscore how vital it is to create lasting solutions to house all San Franciscans. Our city must remain a welcoming and inclusive home for anyone seeking refuge, opportunity, and belonging. As I step into this new role, I am excited to carry forward the values and wisdom I have gained.
