🇬🇹 News Release: Guatemala’s Supreme Court and Kids Alive International Convene International Summit to Advance Child-Centered Justice 🤝 More than 120 judges and magistrates gathered in Antigua, Guatemala, for the International Summit on the Law of Childhood and Adolescence, a landmark training convened by Guatemala’s Judicial Branch with the support of Kids Alive International to advance child-centered and trauma-informed justice practices across Guatemala’s judicial system. The summit featured presentations from Hon. Rosemarie Aquilina, Tom Rawlings, attorney and Kids Alive International Board Member, and Judge Juan Orlando Calderón Sierra. Kids Alive International was also represented by President & CEO Corbey Dukes and COO Rachel Davidson. For Kids Alive, this marked a meaningful step forward in our partnership with Guatemala’s justice system and our ongoing work to help transform trauma to triumph for every child who has been abused or marginalized. 💜 This is the heart of Justice that Heals: courts, care providers, therapists, legal advocates, and government leaders working together so children are heard, protected, and supported on a path toward restoration.
