Post de Mike Weber

I’m excited to announce the launch of my new book on influence, Elton the Influencer: How Influence Helps You Thrive, Create Value, and Shape Your Relationships, Organization, and World. In a business world being reshaped by AI and constant change, one question matters more than ever: how do you, your team, and your organization continue to thrive? My answer is: through influence. In Elton the Influencer, I explore why influence is becoming one of the most important core competencies for individuals, leaders, and organizations that want to stand out and achieve extraordinary results. Whether you work in marketing, sales, leadership, account management, or any role that depends on working effectively with others, the edge will belong to those who know how to build trust, create alignment, and influence outcomes. This book shows how influence shapes outcomes where it matters most: • At work — driving performance, trust, and results • In leadership — building cultures that outperform expectations • In relationships — creating clarity, connection, and win-win outcomes • In life — navigating change with greater confidence and purpose I’m deeply grateful to the many people acknowledged in the book who contributed, directly and indirectly, to its development. This book has been a long time in the making, and I’m grateful to finally share it. Elton the Influencer is now available on Amazon in hardcover and paperback. I’m excited to share more in the coming weeks about how these ideas apply to leaders, teams, and organizations.

Can't wait to read this book! Congrats!

Congratulations Mike! So many powerful take-a-ways! Soft power and unspoken influence are at the heart of Elton the Influencer. In the world of leadership, we often focus on the loudest voice in the room. But as any cat owner knows, true influence doesn't require loud, it requires presence. Elton the Influencer explores the fascinating intersection of feline intuition and human persuasion, proving that the most effective way to lead is often through the quiet, calculated grace of a cat. This book challenges organizations to rethink traditional sales models: success isn’t driven by more activity or louder voices, but by intentional influence. It highlights a critical shift, from pushing for short-term results to building trust, connection, and sustainable impact, making it a must-read for any team looking to elevate performance through a more modern, influence-driven approach. It offers a practical path forward, emphasizing that influence is a skill that can be developed through mindset, consistency, and genuine connection. For sales leaders, this means building cultures where trust and credibility, not pressure, drive results, ultimately creating stronger customer relationships and more durable business outcomes.

Joe Canning Mike this is an excellent book for leaders looking for a vibrant new selling platform or have a need to energized an existing platform not necessarily achieving expectations. Influence can unleash the highest potential in our personal business life.

Mike, congratulations! Your new book is fantastic! I was fortunate to work with you years ago, and your ability to make influence practical, turning complex ideas into clear, actionable steps, made a lasting impact on me, our team and our level of performance. I’ve had the chance to read through the book, and it brings those principles to life again in a really powerful way. Excited for others to benefit from your work. 👏

This is a timely book for the world we live in and will help everyone professionally and personally. An excellent read!

Mike, this book really is such a good book. It really explains in a clear and compelling way what influence really is and how to apply it both in business as well as in your personal life. Great read and influence really is a critical core competency.

Thanks so much Mike for my advance copy. I’ve already read it cover to cover and I can’t agree more - influencing skills will always be critical, no matter how things evolve with AI.

Hearty congratulations to Mike Weber - and to Joseph Canning and the PRISM team 🏆 Elton the Influencer is a GREAT intro to the work you’ve been doing over the past decade to help leaders, their teams, and organizations use Influence. It’s a great read with many “aha” moments at a historic time with AI taking hold of our lives and work. The principles in this book are timeless, accessible, and essential to any organization seeking new levels of excellence. Well done!

Dear Mike, as I read this Post and the comments of so many of our old team at Bayer North America I was reminded again of the super job you did as my Chief of Staff. I am about a third into the book but happy to say that I instinctively used many of the principles here in recently building a key relationship - I look forward to reading the rest once I get a few hours to do so. Good luck further - you and so many of our old team make me very proud of what you have all achieved! Congrats, David
