Great advice. I have reviewed many resumes from active military veterans that are mustering out. Frankly military speak is indecipherable to a civilian like me. My advice, don't just translate military experience—translate your value. Hiring managers like me aren't buying an MOS; we're hiring someone who solves business problems, leads under pressure, and delivers measurable results. Start with a solid career summary "Technology and cybersecurity professional with 12 years of experience leading enterprise IT operations, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, and technical teams in high-pressure environments. Proven ability to advise leadership, manage complex projects, reduce operational risk, and deliver reliable technology solutions supporting mission-critical operations."
