Unlike demand from data centers, EV charging can strengthen the electric grid, making it more flexible, reliable, and affordable. Bidirectional technology means that electricity from EV batteries can be used to support the grid during peak demand, provide backup power, and improve resilience during extreme heat and outages. EV charging can also shift to off-peak hours when renewable energy is abundant, improving efficiency and helping control costs.
