Finance controllers who enjoy being hands-on, leading and advising people and working in a truly international environment – this one’s for you ⚓📊 🌍 The opportunity Role: Finance Supervisor Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands Business: Global shipping and logistics company Scope: Responsibility across Netherlands & Belgium with 2 Finance Coordinators reporting in. 🌊 What you’ll be doing - Overseeing and supporting day-to-day accounting operations for NL & BE. - Ensuring compliance with legal, tax, HR and internal reporting requirements. - Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual reports. - Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial controls. - Acting as a key point of contact for finance matters, advising the Managing Director and Country Director. - Working closely with regional finance colleagues across Europe. 👤 Who you are - Background as a Finance Controller / Senior Accountant in a multinational environment. - Confident leading and developing a small team (2 Finance Coordinators) while staying hands-on. - Strong knowledge of Belgian and Dutch tax/finance regulations for the Benelux customer region. - Qualified in Finance/Accounting/Reporting/Tax (degree or similar). - Comfortable with MS Office and SAP (or a comparable ERP). - Fluent in Dutch with professional business English. - Proactive, curious and not afraid to dig for answers, information and documentation. 🎯 What’s on offer - A visible Finance Supervisor role with regional responsibility (NL & BE). - Opportunity to shape and grow a small accounting team. - Regular interaction with senior stakeholders and regional finance leadership. - Long-term career progression within a well-established global shipping company in Rotterdam.
