kw'as hó:y tl'étl'axxelthoyx Happy Indigenous Peoples Day I feel blessed, honoured and grateful to be a guest, a visiting distant relative in these sacred lands and waters of the Halq'eméylem speaking peoples. I keep learning, reconciling with myself, my path, my ancestry, and my place in the world... which has deeply turned into "my world in the place" I'm grateful to elder Ruth Adams, elder Larry Grant, Dr. Georgina Martin, Elizabeth Ross, BSW, Joseph Kakwinokanasum, David Kirk M.Ed Tzeachten First Nation, Jason EagleSpeaker, Jaimy Fischer, Cash Ahenakew, Jacob Beaton and the many other wonderful indigenous people that have kindly shared your stories, feelings and visions with me. I will continue to seat, listen, learn the truth to get to a true place of reconciliation that will bring peace, unity, balance and joy to our communities. We have a lot of work to do, too much to heal. I hope to keep on finding ways to be reciprocal to the abundant kindness and wisdom I have felt in my years in these lands. Abrazos y gracias, mi gente querida.
