Today is International Project Management Day! The profession has moved on a lot since 1900 when the Irish-born explorer Ernest Shackleton (allegedly) advertised the first ever job posting for a Project Manager role (see attached😉) Lots of PM events happening all over the world this week, and I’m specially pleased to attend the Ireland Chapter of PMI National Project Awards event tonight. It’s one of those occasions where everyone genuinely feels like a winner - to be nominated by your peers, and selected as a finalist by an expert panel, represents (to quote Shackleton): ‘Honour and recognition in event of success.’ Congrats to all.
