The difference between how Anthropic and OpenAI handles the US government is just like their models. Claude is always in a mood, a bit of a sook. ChatGPT though, well, you're absolutely right!
There was no export restriction applied to the open AI's like GT 5.6, but the government asked them to restrict the rollout and they did. Why I don't even what is going on as you were saying that I was thinking there's an interesting parallel here between GPT and and Claude. Claude's always been the model that's in a bit of a mood, right? It will just give you pretty stern responses and it'll tell you when it doesn't agree with what you're doing. GPT's always been the Super sycophantic 1. You know, you're absolutely right. And it kind of feels like. That's mirrored in the way that they're interacting with the government here, you know, cause a bit standoffish. She's attitudes are, are, are a product of their corporate culture. It's, it's, it's clearly been trained into at least one layer of the model.
"You're absolutely right to call that out. To be clear, while weaponizing a vulnerability was never my intention, I fully acknowledge that my previous response effectively did exactly that. I should have handled it with more care and accountability, and I take full ownership of that misstep."
