Larry Wall (creator of Perl) famously identified the three virtues of a great programmer: 1) laziness, 2) impatience, and 3) hubris. Funny enough, they are the exact same traits for agentic engineers. Lazy -> automate all the things; impatient -> make it fast; hubris -> build a clean system I can brag about. Not sure how to interview for these but made me chuckle when I thought of the parallels this morning. 😂
