Two months ago, our business was hit by PROGA (Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act). Because of this, we had to let go a few members of our team. These were the people who stood with us from day one and poured their hearts into the work. They were part of the team that helped us achieve around $300K in revenue per employee. Letting them go was honestly one of the most painful moments of my journey. We grew together, we were the same age group, and somewhere along the way they stopped being just teammates and became close friends. Telling them they had to move on still hurts. Of course, I will not use the word “family” here, because I don’t believe in that idea at work. Today, I am genuinely happy that all of them have already joined new companies. It takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders, and I am proud of how quickly they bounced back. I am super thankful to the Indian startup community and YC founders for helping them find the right opportunities. Super proud of you folks Pikashi Jain, Pradip Tilala. I hope everything we learned together in our journey at Better Opinions and SpotGames helps you thrive in your new roles.
Its never easy Samay and it shouldn’t have to be
Honored to have built alongside this team, and thankful for the support that helped us transition smoothly into new roles. Excited for what’s ahead. Samay Jain

I feel you man. It is one of the hardest thing to let go of folks who believed in your dream with you. Wishing everyone the best and we shall get through this!
