Founders are no longer asking only, “Can AI help us?” They are now asking, “Can we scale with AI safely, responsibly, and with trust built into the system from day one?” Your founder-first lens, ecosystem depth, and ability to connect technology, GTM, and human trust should matter a lot in this phase. Anthropic going deeper with India’s startups and digital natives is significant because the next generation of companies will not just use AI. Congratulations Sangeeta Bavi . AI is not only shaping businesses but also how lawyers approach a client’s problem. More importantly, with growing use of AI, comes greater compliance requirement, specifically in relation to processing and using data. Having used Claude for sometime, i feel that, with its growing use, there will definitely be regulatory issues in future, specially in light of recent supreme court judgements. But for now, it’s a huge opportunity for Anthropic to scale its business especially among the legal services sector as multiple firms and law offices are adapting to this new change.

Congratulations Sangeeta — this is a critical hire for Anthropic in India. The Indian AI startup ecosystem in 2026 doesn't need more US-style enterprise sales pitches. It needs partners who understand we're building under different constraints (bandwidth, language code-switching, regulatory compliance under DPDP, tier-2/3 user behavior) — and that those constraints are advantages in disguise. Building DARWIN from Varanasi has convinced me: the next decade of AI architecture will be defined by builders solving for the messier user, not the cleaner one. Excited to see Anthropic position around that lens.

Having backed founders across multiple cycles, I've seen how the right AI infrastructure can be the difference between scaling globally or hitting a ceiling , excited to see how Anthropic's safety-first approach will unlock the next wave of Indian unicorns.
