Sarah White’s Post

I fell into HRTech as a freshman in college and had no idea the opportunities, friendships and life lessons I’d learn by taking a risk on this emerging industry when “online” and “cloud” was still a dream. It isn’t my first year on The Top 100 most influential people in HR technology (Thank you HR Executive!!!) but it is the first where it’s announced on my birthday weekend (happy bday shout out to my Bday Twin Meg Bear) and so I’m in a place of reflection and awe as to what this industry has become - and seeing how many people also on the list I’ve been lucky enough to know as mentors, colleagues, collaborators, and most importantly friends. This year it is hard to miss the legacy of Josh Bersin and the role he played not only creating the industry analyst market, but hiring and training so many of us that have gone on to our own firms and roles in vendors across the industry - Sarah White, Stacia Garr Stacey Harris Madeline Laurano Kathi Enderes along with other analysts Trisha Steed George LaRocque Ben Eubanks Matt Alder Dani Johnson Holger Mueller Betsy Summers Rebecca Wettemann You have amazing product leaders I’ve had the pleasure of working with like Gretchen Alarcon Meg Bear Amy Wilson Chris Havrilla Pragya Gupta Dan Beck Yvette Cameron Practicioners Erika Broadwater Deaver Amy Coleman Kris Dunn Lars Schmidt Consultants/Speakers/Podcasters JESS VON BANK Jason Averbook David Green 🇺🇦 Jess Miller-Merrell, SHRM-SCP, SPHR Tim Sackett, SCP 🟦 William Tincup Kyle Forrest Founders/CEO’s Mahe Bayireddi, Richard Rosenow Mark Stelzner Ryan Wong Jeanne Achille Rebecca McKenna Ronni Zehavi And I ran out of tags - if I missed you I’m so sorry (the crazy part of this is - a number of these people are in transition and looking for their next role or are entering the market soon as consultants, fractional leaders or advisors -if you’re looking for someone DM me and I’m happy to play match maker) What a gift to build a career you love alongside men and women you admire—and to be able to call on them when you need advice, perspective, the right person for a client, or a little encouragement. Congratulations to everyone - I’m incredibly proud to be among you💛
