Welcome to the future. 😆 A shirtless person just stopped and totally smashed the Waymo driverless car making chaos in the middle of an LA street! #innovation #artificialintelligence
Mental illness confused as entertainment... =/
I miss the days when LinkedIn was a professional networking platform
Genuine question: what's the point of turning this into entertainment? We have no idea what this person is going through. If this is a mental health crisis, the response that actually helps isn't a camera, it's someone stepping in. If this is where we're headed, watching strangers unravel and calling it content instead of asking how we can help, that's not a future I feel good about.
What a psycho, we shouldn't even have people driving cars, most dangerous mechanism invented by man kind outside of a firearm. If I am not mistaken, car deaths are barely less than gun violence deaths per year, and given what we know about gun violence in the US, that is for sure saying something. Anyone want to rebuttal? Sure you might "like driving" buddy, nice, good for you. However have you happened to see the accidents per mile of a Waymo vs regular everyday drivers? Hmm? Well it's staggering, they are not just safer, they are ASTRONOMICALLY safer. Why? Because it is literally a coordinated hive mind. When you're driving, your biggest threat isn't you, it's the next driver over from you. Hence the reason I've never gotten my license. When you hop into the car, it's not your choice if you die or have a fender bender because some idiot could be having a bad day and it has nothing to do with you. Driving is dumb, if you like it go rent a go kart. Fuck Henry Ford we should have had public transit over 100 years ago, but welp, selfish individual interests were put above the public health of humanity. Not sure if I'll live to see a day where that's not the case...
The future of political spectrum will run between new opposing poles - those who hate technology, are suspicious of progressivism, and believe in a physically embodied future on one end, and those who embrace technology as a transcendent mechanism on the other. Both sides will make some good points. The extremists on both ends will take them too far. And most people will sit quietly somewhere in the middle. It's going to get pretty weird. We may be about to rerun the 17th century in reverse.
Vincent M. … that you bud? Or doppelgänger?
Unfortunately, this is likely a mental health episode. My dude, take a moment and talk to Kabware’s mental health support assistant. It’s free.
I would not make fun of this episode at all. If public perception of AI will shift to general negativity, what we see in that video is a quite realistic scenario. Hopefully companies and governments will make the right decisions…
Somewhere an engineer just added a new test case: "Shirtless guy with zero chill."
Maybe he is from the future, came to save us!
