Xero API’s Post

What an incredible #XeroDevDay London. Thank you to everyone who joined us in the room and followed along online. More people are building on Xero than ever: ~50,000 active integrations, more than 1,000 apps in the App Store, and a 43% year-on-year rise in active integrations. A bigger, more diverse community of builders means a bigger market for everyone. On the platform and API: - Practice Manager API v3.1 — JSON support, field selection, new client fields, and a JobState endpoint. Plan your v3.0→3.1 migration now (v3.0 retires 30 April 2027). - New webhooks — prepayment, overpayment, and payment events landing across July–August, so you can rely less on polling. - Account Data API (beta, late August) — account transactions, balances, and movements without pulling journals. - Extending access to Bank Feeds API to non banks - currently in beta GA late September. - A monthly release cadence, with breaking changes behind opt-in flags so you get a predictable window to test in production. On AI — a growing toolkit: - A hosted Remote MCP server (currently in closed beta). - A CLI that now works with AI agents and can output TOON to cut token costs. - New prompt templates, plus Claude Code, Lovable, and Replit skills. On growth and engagement: - 50 new curated App Store collections, pricing on listing pages, and new in-product discovery surfacing your apps to 4.9M Xero subscribers. - The Global App Awards (entries close 10 July) and an open Developer Advisory Council — more ways to get recognised and help shape what we build. What this all means: a faster platform to build on, more ways to grow your app, and a community we're continuing to invest in. Keep your eye on devblog.xero.com for more details to follow. #XeroDeveloper
