AirKoalaty Now Live in Australia as ClimaCell Wins Tel-Aviv Hackathon

Since the #ausfires started, more than a half billion animals have lost their home and 17.9 million acres (7.3 million hectares) burned. 

Last night the tech community in Tel Aviv embarked on an all night hackathon to try and help.

Thank you to the participants from SAP, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco, Microsoft, monday.com, eBay, Verizon and more for coming out and staying up all night to help contribute to the situation in Australia!

Also in participation were members from the ClimaCell team, including Tzach Klo, Itamar Biton, Omer Tunis, Yossi Melamed, Yossi Shmueli, Igor Davydkin, Omer Saraf, and Ayala Rudoy! 

The team got started working...

After working through the night, by the time the sun came up the ClimaCell team won first place!

They built AirKoalaty, a way for people to understand the air quality in their local area and understand the best time of day for them to do their favorite activities like play tennis or go to the beach.
