In 2011, the government successfully completed the Calabar-Umuahia-Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline. The focus of that project was on the expansion of the existing western network systems to address supply deliverability to Geregu power plant.
As an offshoot of the Trans Nigeria Gas Pipeline, the 5-phase TSGP currently at the 3rd phase, is expected to be completed during 2013-2016. The overall project, to be completed in 2018, is aimed at further transporting gas from Nigeria to Europe through Niger and Algeria.
Under this administration, Nigeria Gas Company (NGC) gas sales and transmission throughput grew from 722mmscf/d in 2011 to about 800mmscf/d in 2012.
The Jonathan administration saw to the completion and commissioning of a 45mmscf/d non-associated gas (NAG)/ associated gas (AG) processing facility by an indigenous company.
On-going rehabilitation of Port Harcourt and Warri refineries will meet at least 70% of the country’s needs. This, in turn, will save $3.5 billion of government forex and enhance payment of taxes to the treasury.

Many thanks for your comment Bassey. I published a full article on the matter in the vanguard newspaper of march 2. We suggested to govt that a master plan, blue print or road map on anti corruption should be produced and as you mentioned govt should learn how to multi task. The electorate should be carried along through public enlightenment so that it may be clear to all what their intentions are

@Magnus your point about GEJ's new approach to anti corruption is well taken, but leaders must be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Adopting preventive strategies and prosecuting those who have already stolen are not mutually exclusive options. For me, one of the saddest things about this administration is that it's poor anti corruption record has beclouded it's many laudable achievements
@Chikeobi has a valid point. As good as these projects may be, question is at what point do they affect quality of life for the average citizen? That link needs to be established in your communication, otherwise the value is lost
i run my gen for almost 24hours in Port Harcourt rivers state. I also hv an inverter. I dont believe this talk abeg.
