Yesterday as I walked into the office building where my current client has their offices, a young woman walking through the elevator lobby reached out, touched the "up" call button, and kept walking toward the exit. As we drew nearer one another, it dawned on me. "Did you just push that for me?" I asked. She looked at me and dipped her chin in a brief nod. I put on my best grin, "Thank you!" I replied.

She headed out the door, and I headed for the elevator car that was arriving.

I don't remember seeing her before. I may never again. But if there were more like her in this world, it wouldn't be a bad thing. To paraphrase a Jewish carpenter, "Go thou and do likewise."
