Mayo Clinic’s Mohamad Alkhouli MD MBA hosted a fireside chat with Boston Scientific’s Mike Mahoney and Lance Bates to discuss their journeys, innovation and the future of medtech. #panel #medtech #innovation
Great leaders don’t guard their insights. They share them. It was a privilege to host a fireside chat at Mayo Clinic with Mike Mahoney and Lance Bates of Boston Scientific — on the future of medtech, the challenges facing our innovation ecosystem, and hard-won leadership lessons. Fifteen years in, Mike still leads with day-one energy and curiosity. Nothing was off the table—successes, setbacks, separating hype from substance, disruption, and how his own leadership has evolved along the way. Lance spoke candidly about culture, disciplined execution, smart risk-taking, and the realities of leading innovation at scale. Thank you, Mike and Lance, for an open and engaging conversation. We need more of these. Mayo Clinic Boston Scientific Mayo Clinic Business Development
