We’re excited to share that Psionic, a REaKTOR portfolio company headquartered right here in Hampton, has been selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration as part of the agency’s 2025 Announcement of Collaboration Opportunity. One of only 41 proposals from 37 U.S. companies, Psionic will collaborate with NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center to advance its PSNDL-L (Space Navigation Doppler Lidar-lander) technology. This includes high-altitude, high-speed flight testing and demonstrating TERCOM (terrain contour matching) — critical capabilities for precise landings on the Moon and future human missions to Mars in GPS-denied environments. Psionic’s Navigation Doppler Lidar technology, originally developed at NASA, is now evolving from a high-performance sensor into a full resilient navigation suite. As Psionic’s Rob Fleishauer shared: “It uses the terrain below… and of course, there are terrain maps for the lunar surface as well. So it helps us to land on the moon…” This latest milestone follows Psionic being named the 2025 757 TechNite Emerging Company winner — clear evidence that world-class deep-tech innovation is thriving right here in the 757. At REaKTOR, we’re incredibly honored to support companies like Psionic that are turning NASA-born research into flight-proven systems that will help humanity explore the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
