Economic development is a core component of TVA’s mission to serve the 9 million residents in the Valley. TVA works with local power companies, directly served customers and regional, state and local economic development agencies to bring quality jobs to the region and to keep them here. Our aim in Economic Development is to attract new companies and investment to the region, engage business and industries to help foster growth and to serve our communities to help them prepare for economic growth.

After more than 20 years driving growth across the Valley, John Bradley will retire June 30th as Senior Vice President of Economic Development. 📈 Under John’s leadership: ▸ $150B+ in capital investment attracted ▸ Nearly 490,000 jobs created and 800,000 jobs retained ▸ TVA’s Megasite Program launched, bringing landmark projects like Volkswagen, Google, Mazda, Toyota, and Ford to the region Heidi Smith, a longtime leader on our economic development team, will transition into the role of Vice President of Economic Development and continue our work to create jobs, attract investment, and strengthen communities.
