This is the most underrated way to use Claude: (and it has nothing to do with writing or coding) It's competitive intelligence. Using data that's free, public, and updated every single week. Here's my extract step by step guide: Step 1. Go to claude .ai. Step 2. Select the new Claude "Opus 4.6." Step 3. Turn on "Extended Thinking." Step 4. Pick a competitor. Go to their careers page. Step 5. Copy every open job listing into one doc. (Title. Team name. Location. Full description) Step 6. Save it as one .txt or .docx file. Step 7. Search the company at EDGAR (sec .gov) Step 8. Download its recent 10-K or 10-Q filing. (Official strategy, risks, and financials - all public.) Step 9. Upload both files to Claude Opus 4.6. Step 10. Paste this exact prompt: "You are a competitive intelligence analyst at a rival company. I've uploaded [Company]'s complete current job listings and their most recent SEC filing. Perform a strategic intelligence analysis: → Cluster these roles by what they suggest is being built. Don't use the team names they've listed. Infer the actual product initiatives from the skills, tools, and responsibilities described. → Identify capabilities or teams that appear entirely new — not mentioned anywhere in the SEC filing. These are unreleased bets. → Find roles where seniority is disproportionately high for a new team. This signals executive-level priority. → Cross-reference the SEC filing's Risk Factors and Strategy sections with hiring patterns. Where are they investing against a stated risk? Where did they flag a risk but have zero hiring to address it? → Predict 3 product launches or strategic moves this company will make in the next 6-12 months. State your confidence level and cite specific job titles and filing sections as evidence. Format this as a 1-page competitive intelligence briefing for a CMO." What you'll find: → Products that don't exist yet but will in 6 months. → Priorities that contradict what the CEO said. → Risks they told the SEC but aren't addressing. This is what consulting firms charge $200K for. It took me 10 minutes. I used the new Claude 'Opus 4.6' for a reason: ✦ It read 60 job listing & a 200-page filing together.  ✦ And connects dots across both. ✦ It is superior in thinking and context retrieval. That's why I didn't use ChatGPT for this.

One of the most important applications of GenAI is in foresight. A new report from Paulo Carvalho at IF Insight & Foresight on "How Generative AI Will Transform Strategic Foresight" provides wide-ranging perspectives on the possibilities. Here are some of the most interesting action-oriented frames I found in the report. 🔍 Real-Time Environmental Scanning: Use GenAI to conduct continuous scanning of emerging trends, weak signals, and disruptions across diverse sources. This real-time, dynamic approach allows organizations to stay agile, proactively adjusting strategies as new insights unfold. 🌐 Immersive Scenario Simulations: Utilize GenAI to create interactive VR/AR scenarios that bring potential futures to life. These simulations engage stakeholders deeply, helping them visualize and emotionally connect with complex strategic choices, fostering stronger alignment with future goals. 🔄 Adaptive Scenario Planning: Move from static to adaptive planning by integrating live data into foresight models. Continuous updates based on geopolitical, economic, and technological shifts ensure that scenarios remain relevant and actionable over time. 💬 Enhanced Strategic Conversations: Use GenAI-powered virtual agents to facilitate dynamic "what-if" conversations, helping stakeholders explore a range of possible outcomes. This deepens strategic insights and encourages a proactive approach to complex decision-making. ⚙️ Modeling Complexity and Emergent Behaviors: Use GenAI to simulate complex systems and emergent behaviors, enabling organizations to anticipate interconnected, cascading effects. This prepares them for resilience in the face of unpredictable challenges and non-linear changes. 📊 Multimodal Data Integration for Richer Insights: Leverage GenAI’s capacity to analyze diverse data types (e.g., text, images, audio, video) to gain a nuanced, comprehensive view of trends and risks. This multimodal approach captures intricate patterns that single-source analysis might miss. 🌍 Embrace Multiple Perspectives and Plurality: Design foresight processes that incorporate a wide array of perspectives, blending cross-disciplinary and cultural insights. This inclusive approach creates more robust, innovative scenarios that account for diverse worldviews and challenges assumptions. 🤝 Facilitate Participatory and Co-Creative Approaches: Use GenAI to build interactive platforms that invite diverse stakeholders to co-create and refine scenarios. Real-time collaboration enhances the relevance and inclusivity of strategic models, making them more reflective of shared goals and values. I'll be sharing some of my thoughts on this very important topic in the next little while.

Most people don’t need more charts. They need the right chart. This graphic shows 50 ways to visualize data — and that’s exactly why many dashboards are confusing. Too many choices, not enough thinking. Here’s how I’d use this: Start with the question, not the chart. Comparison? Use column/bar. Trend? Line, area, or sparkline. Distribution? Histogram or box/violin (not 12 pie charts…). Choose by relationship, not aesthetics. Correlation → scatter, correlogram. Composition → stacked bar/area, not donut overload. Flow or structure → Sankey, org chart, network. One insight per visual. If your audience can’t say, “This chart shows X,” in 5 seconds, it’s decoration, not communication. Reduce cognitive load. Fewer colors. Clear labels. No 3D anything. Ever. Build your “go-to 10.” From these 50, pick 10 charts you’ll master. Use them 90% of the time. The pros look “simple” because they obsess over clarity, not complexity. Save this as a checklist for your next report or dashboard. And if you want to go deeper into data storytelling and visualization, Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI)'s resources are a great place to start.

->> 💥💥Breaking News💥💥<<- Salesforce closed its acquisition of Informatica for $8B this week. What does it really mean? Here's what I think: First - what is Informatica? Well, it was founded in 1993 -- one year before the internet -- as a pioneer in Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) ... and it's still involved primarily in: 👓👓 Moving data from one place to another 👓👓 Transforming data to make it better So Informatica is a data management system that can help you to (1) connect, (2) manage, (3) unify data from various environments (not all in Salesforce, obviously) Specifically, it provides: -> Data catalog (this is a structured definition of what data should look like -- e.g., "A Customer is defined as X Y Z ...") -> Data integration -> Data quality -> Data governance -> Master Data Management (MDM) (this is a sophisticated way to make sure data is consistent and accessible for the entire company) -> Metadata management Informatica provides data security, consistency and what we might call "truth" or veracity. It uses AL/ML to automate data management tasks. Companies use it a lot to move stuff into the cloud, for example, and to maintain/ensure compliance with regulations Certainly parts of Salesforce already do some of these Informatica things. Specifically: -> Mulesoft provides data integration (via APIs) -> Data Cloud [now called Data 360] is a CDP -- so it provides data integration and governance; these can be turboed by the acq. Some other recent acquisitions circled this space: -> OWN (data protection and recovery) -> Phennecs (privacy compliance) Given some complementarity, what is *NEW* with Informatica? I agree with a Forrester analyst who recently said that basically it "elevates" Salesforce's position in management; makes it better able to deliver fast reliable data integration across sources Informatica brings a combo of (1) things Salesforce doesn't really do yet, and (2) things it does do but can improve In category (1) -- things Salesforce doesn't really do: 👓👓 Master Data Management -- SF never claimed to be a data master or even a 'golden record' - now it can 👓👓 Data catalog -- this is enterprise-wide metadata and tools to find data - SF already has data models etc but not really something this wide In category (2) -- things that Informatica can help: 👉👉 Data quality -- there is no upper limit to this 👉👉 Data governance -- D360 and the SF platform have tools for this already; in fact D360 just upgraded its offering. But Informatica brings it closer to system-of-record quality 👉👉 Compliance tools -- these help companies (say in health care, fin. services) to align with regulations So Informatica will improve the quality of customer data across Salesforce products within the Salesforce ecosystem, making it more central to a company's data fabric like, well, Fabric And of course this is all a prerequisite foundation for the Agentic Enterprise, providing better data AND CONTEXT for agents ...

The most important competence for building a sustainable DTC strategy: Data-Driven Customer Insights. Over the last decade direct-to-consumer marketers have suffered a 15% CAGR in CPM inflation for digital #advertising, according to research by Frederic Fernandez & Associates, dramatically increasing cost per acquisition. #DTC companies hence need to much better understand their target consumers, their path-to-purchase metrics, barriers/ drivers/ triggers & 4Ps preferences, and design a new omnichannel acquisition strategy. In my view, its time for DTC companies to build truly immersive and personalized customer acquisition strategies based on data driven customer insights. Data-driven customer insights are essential in the following 5 marketing areas: 🙋 Understanding Customer Behavior: To create personalized experiences, brands need to understand their customers' behaviors, preferences, and pain points. #Data analytics enables companies to track and analyze customer interactions across all touchpoints, providing deep insights into their journey and decision-making processes. 🎯 Personalization at Scale: Leveraging customer data allows brands to segment their audience and deliver tailored content, offers, and recommendations. This level of #personalization can significantly enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, as consumers are more likely to engage with content that is relevant to their needs and interests. 📢 Optimizing Marketing Efforts: Data insights help brands to optimize their #marketing strategies and campaigns. By analyzing which tactics are most effective, companies can allocate resources more efficiently and improve their return on investment. ❤️ Enhancing Customer Engagement: Real-time data analysis enables brands to engage with customers at the right moment with the right message. This timely #engagement can drive higher conversion rates and foster a stronger emotional connection with the brand. 📈 Continuous Improvement: Data-driven #insights provide a feedback loop that allows brands to continuously refine their products, services, and customer interactions. This iterative process helps in adapting to changing customer expectations and market trends. By investing in data collection, advanced analytics, and skilled personnel, #DTC companies can create truly immersive and personalized customer experiences that drive engagement and loyalty.

How the UAE Digitally Transformed Governance — at Unprecedented Scale In 2024, the UAE didn’t just adopt digital transformation it institutionalized it through a federated, data-driven model that redefined public service delivery across access, efficiency, trust, and integration. What Was Achieved – 2024 Key Results 1. 173.7 million government transactions completed digitally 2. 1,419 government services fully digitized across all sectors 3. 57 million+ unique users engaged through federal platforms 4. 91% user satisfaction rate with digital government services This means: For every citizen and resident, there were approximately 17 digital government transactions completed this year alone. What Enabled This Transformation? The UAE’s success was powered by deep-tech infrastructure, cloud platforms, and smart policy design delivering both scale and precision: • 2.6B digital transactions • 99.7% AI response accuracy • 20M digital documents issued • 12M verified exchanges • 1,500+ integrated government systems This was not mere digitization it was a full-scale re-architecture of government. Strategic Focus Areas 1. Unified Digital Government 1,500+ systems integrated across ministries for seamless, efficient service delivery. 2. AI-Powered Services 99.7% smart assistant accuracy reduced wait times and improved user experience. 3. Trusted Infrastructure 20M documents issued and 12M verified exchanges ensured secure, compliant digital interactions. 4. Widespread Accessibility 57M+ users citizens, residents, and investors accessed services anytime, anywhere. 5. Data-Driven Optimization Real-time analytics and feedback drove a 91% satisfaction rate, setting a global benchmark. Visionary Leadership Behind the Model The transformation is driven by the far-sighted leadership of: • HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE • HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE & Ruler of Dubai They didn’t just ask “how can we digitize government?” They asked, “how can we lead the world in digital governance?” By fusing vision with execution, the UAE positioned itself not as a digital follower — but as a global model for AI-enabled, citizen-first, government innovation. Why This Matters Globally • 2.6B digital transactions put the UAE on par with top digital nations like Singapore and South Korea. • 99.7% AI accuracy positions it as a global leader in smart governance. • 1,500+ system integrations created one of the world’s most unified public service ecosystems. • 173.7M annual transactions = nearly 475,000 digital interactions every day. This is not enhancement. This is national digital infrastructure at work. The UAE is not preparing for the future. The UAE is building it system by system, document by document, decision by decision. In the UAE, governance isn’t evolving it’s accelerating toward the future at the speed of trust and technology.

HR teams are sitting on goldmines of workforce intelligence. Dashboards are built. Metrics are tracked. Reports are generated monthly. But here's the uncomfortable truth: most of this data never influences a single strategic decision. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 - You know your turnover rate. But can you predict which critical talent will leave next quarter? - You track engagement scores. But do you know which teams are at risk of performance decline? - You measure time-to-hire. But can you forecast where capability gaps will bottleneck your growth strategy? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 2025: Leading organizations are moving from descriptive to predictive analytics and seeing real impact. The shift is clear: reactive HR is becoming obsolete. A recent example from a client story -  One business unit had "acceptable" retention numbers on paper. But deeper analysis revealed high performers leaving strategic roles, creating a capability gap that would derail execution within months. And also the reason behind it came across to us so clearly. That insight changed everything. Not because the data was new, but because it answered a question leadership was asking: "What could derail our strategy?" What shifted: - From reporting to forecasting - From metrics to narratives that connect to business outcomes - From dashboards to decisions with clear actions attached The real power of people analytics isn't in sophisticated tools or data volume. It's in connecting workforce insights directly to enterprise strategy, before problems become crises. After reading this, ask yourself: → When was the last time your people data changed a strategic decision? → Can you identify which workforce trends will impact your next fiscal year's goals? → Does your leadership team see HR analytics as insight or just information? What will you adapt in your approach to make your people analytics truly strategic? #StrategicHR #PeopleAnalytics #DataDrivenHR #Leadership #FutureOfWork

Still manually stalking competitors on Google for hours? There's a better way. Social media research is brutal. Especially when you're juggling multiple clients across different niches. Here's the pain: You need competitor data. Fast. But Google searches turn into endless rabbit holes. No organization. No efficiency. Just chaos. I built something to fix this. An n8n workflow that automates your entire competitor research process. No more manual grinding. Here's how it works: Step 1: Simple form input • Client niche • Target location • Hit submit Step 2: Apify does the heavy lifting • Scrapes Google search results automatically • Same data you'd find manually  • But done by robots in minutes Step 3: Auto-organized storage • Everything flows into Airtable • Structured. Searchable. Ready to use. • (Google Sheets works too) The game-changer: What used to take 3-4 hours now takes 10 minutes. Setup once. Use forever. Perfect for: • Influencer marketing research • Competitor analysis • Niche-specific audience hunting • Multi-client social strategies Best part? It's free. Apify gives generous free limits. Airtable too. You're not paying for this efficiency boost. Why this matters: Time is money in social media. Clients want fast results. Manual research kills profitability. This workflow scales your research without scaling your workload. For social media strategists: Stop being a human search engine. Start being a strategic consultant. Your clients pay for insights. Not data collection. Let automation handle the grunt work. You focus on strategy. YES!! The agencies winning right now? They're not working harder. They're working smarter. This workflow is your competitive edge. #SocialMediaStrategy #MarketingAutomation #n8n #InfluencerMarketing #Productivity n8n Airtable Google Apify

📌 4 Steps to Build a Winning Data & BI Strategy Data is the backbone of every modern business. But without a proper strategy, it’s just numbers sitting in a database. To turn data into actionable insights, you need a structured Business Intelligence framework. 👉 Here’s a simple 4-step approach to help you build a strong Data & BI Strategy: 1️⃣ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 What data do you need? If your data isn’t reliable, everything else fails. Start by identifying key data sources: ⤷ Sales, marketing, and operational data ⤷ CRM, ERP, and external APIs 2️⃣ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 How do you manage data? Once collected, data needs to be cleaned, structured, and stored efficiently. Focus on: ⤷ ETL pipelines & data transformation ⤷ Scalable data warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake) ⤷ Governance & access control 3️⃣ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬 & 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 What insights can you extract? Data alone isn’t enough. You need BI tools and analytics to generate real insights. Data must be actionable, not just visualized. Key areas include: ⤷ BI dashboards for executive & operational reporting (eg. Power BI) ⤷ KPI tracking with real-time visibility ⤷ Predictive analytics to forecast trends 4️⃣ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Your insights should drive action, and not just sit in reports. You can use data to perform advanced root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks & inefficiencies. A BI strategy is only as good as the actions it enables. If your data isn’t influencing business decisions, it’s just a reporting tool. The biggest mistake I see is starting at step 4 without having solid foundations. Don’t build dashboards if your data pipeline is not reliable. #BusinessIntelligence #DataStrategy #DataAnalytics
