    Foxconn built a humanoid robot that handles hospital logistics so nurses can spend 40% more time with patients. In hospitals, nurses spend 30-40% of their shift on delivering blood specimens, carrying urine samples, transporting temperature-sensitive blood bags between floors. Not patient care. Not health education. Just moving things around. Foxconn partnered with Kawasaki to build Nurabot - a robot that handles those tasks autonomously. Here's what it does: ▶ 1. Automates hospital logistics Nurabot connects directly to the hospital information system and receives delivery tasks automatically - no manual dispatch needed. It delivers specimens and blood bags in temperature-controlled storage with biometric locks to ensure materials reach the right person. ▶ 2.Runs 24/7 without interruption The robot has swappable batteries for continuous operation. When one battery runs low, it swaps at a charging station and keeps working. Real-time navigation and obstacle avoidance keep it moving safely through hospital corridors. And, this is already being deployed in real hospitals. A hospital in Taiwan completed pilot testing. The robot is now rolling out under the government's $1.6 billion healthcare digitization initiative. I think this is incredible because nurses now get more time for what only humans can do - listening to patients, providing education, catching subtle signs that prevent complications.     Amazon just quietly took another step toward redesigning healthcare. This week AWS announced Amazon Connect Health, an AI-enabled, agentic platform that integrates directly with electronic health records to automate many of the most painful administrative tasks in medicine. Scheduling. Patient verification. Clinical documentation. Medical coding. Even real-time summaries of doctor-patient conversations. The system operates 24/7, escalates complex cases to humans, and links its outputs back to source evidence for transparency. Early results from UC San Diego Health reportedly show a 60% reduction in call abandonment and measurable time savings per interaction. But the real story here isn’t incremental efficiency. It’s something bigger. We are witnessing the emergence of administrative AI agents as the operating layer of healthcare systems. For decades, clinicians have spent an astonishing proportion of their time navigating bureaucratic workflows—forms, scheduling, billing, documentation. Entire industries have grown around managing these administrative frictions. Agentic AI changes the equation. Instead of humans orchestrating processes through software, intelligent agents orchestrate processes across systems. The implications are profound: • Administrative work begins to collapse • The traditional call center model disappears • Documentation becomes ambient and continuous • Access to care becomes 24/7 by default • Health systems shift from workflow management to decision management In other words, healthcare is moving from software-assisted administration to AI-managed operations.
