Closed Circuit Selling™ (CCS™) is the gateway to Revenue Alignment Architecture.

About us

Closed Circuit Selling™ (CCS™) is the first commercial operating system built to eliminate leakage across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Instead of guessing intent or pushing prospects through linear funnels, CCS™ creates a closed feedback circuit where every action produces intelligence that strengthens the entire system. It begins with Catalogue the Market™, the only method for capturing real first-party buyer truth. CCS™ then aligns timing signals, drives recursive feedback, and locks execution so no revenue escapes. The result is a self-reinforcing engine where teams operate in perfect alignment, opportunities compound, and outcomes become inevitable. Funnels leak. Circuits scale.

Kev and I are attending Generate Summit next week with ALL the gear and no idea! I've been meaning to get to this killer event, but have always found myself away when it's on. It is THE event if you're in the trenches in B2B in Australia. This year Kev and I are turning up with some microphones and cameras to chat with the attendees, get some hot takes, and turn it into some awesome community assets (and we'll share of course on The B2B Playbook). So far we're thinking: • 3 things that are actually worth the money - B2B edition (thanks Gareth Stewart) • Underrated vs overrated • You’re a marketer if you… (thanks Mercedes Carrin) Ideas are welcome! The only plan set in stone? Kev interviews the tall people I interview the short people --- Want to know which category you fit into? Come find us at Generate! (huge thanks so axel sukianto, Kayla Medica, ✨ Kaylee Liu, Lara Vandersluis (Barnett))

Sales folks might not like me for saying this, but – 👉 You need to start sourcing your own pipeline if you want Marketing to help. And before you come at me… This isn't Sales vs Marketing. It's Sales with Marketing. It's about letting both teams do what they're actually good at. Because here's the loop we're stuck in right now: ❌ Marketing gets told to hand over "leads," so it chases people who aren't ready to buy ❌ Those names go to Sales, because that's what Marketing is measured on ❌ Sales works the list, gets nowhere, and calls it junk So most of the budget gets burned on MQLs nobody wanted. Money and time that could have gone into what Marketing does best (and what makes Sales' life easier too): • Building trust before buyers are in market • Educating them long before they're ready • Being the name they remember when timing shifts • Capturing the real in-market demand when it shows up What 2x CRO and 7x Sales Leader Adem Manderovic drummed into me is that Sales used to own its own pipeline. They owned it by cataloguing the market. Actually knowing: • Who buyers are with today • What they'd change about them • When their contracts are up • What they're paying Do that, and Marketing stops having to manufacture pipeline out of thin air. It gets to shape future demand instead - the exact thing that makes Sales' job easier anyway. -- Sales catalogues. Marketing shapes. Together, we win.

That's still an incredibly rapid progression. Recently I spoke with Pasha Irshad, and George Coudounaris on the The B2B Playbook.. along the lines of is the reason, that commercial acumen that we would see as end to end commercial viability from prior to the explosion of 2014..Due to the now workforce, with rapid rising in roles? People forget, in the early and middle 2000s, if you thought you would rapid rise through a company like this (or thought you were owed it) people openly called you ungrateful; and a lunatic. Back, then you needed to entry level in CS, as a junior, learn how to put the deals on. Learn them inside out, to understand what gets approved through legal, credit, and why, what is a servicable plan for CS to run..What makes it viable. After 2 years of dazzling on the phone, with cross sell, upsell, and expansion knowing the deals inside out, you MIGHT get a chance to get promoted to SDR or BDR in the business development team.. Then, you would need to prove your worth, for 5 yrs to be considered a head of business development, rock that, and show continuous problem solving between your reps, the market and those feedback loops across marketing, product, sales, customer success, to become even close to the skill set of a head of sales. I am not saying right or wrong.. but I am saying we have an influx of layers of management that have never seen what good looks like end to end. We have layers of management in commercial oversight roles, that come from a fragment, of that very oversight. Think of it like this for a comparison, would you hire a mechanic for your new luxury european car that you are super proud of, that was only ever an auto electrician on a ford or chevy?.... This is why we have a market, that is screaming out for fundamentals, and Closed Circuit Selling™ (CCS) helps us do that. We outline more of the how in our book Closed Circuit Selling : Architect Predictable Revenue in an Unpredictable Market.

Everyone wants to be an AE. But sometimes, the fastest way to become a VP of Sales... Is to become an SDR. Sounds backwards, right? Too many people optimize for the next title. The best people optimize for the next opportunity. I've seen reps leave average AE jobs to join a rocketship as an SDR. Why? Because one great company can be worth more than five mediocre promotions. The screenshot below is a perfect example. This person went from SDR → AE → back to SDR... And within a few years became SVP of Sales. Was going back to SDR a step backward? Or was it the best career decision they ever made? Titles don't compound. Being early at the right company does. If you're joining a company with exceptional leadership, product-market fit, and real room to grow... Don't let your ego convince you you're "above" an SDR title. Sometimes your biggest promotion starts with taking what looks like a step back. Would you ever take an SDR role after being an AE if you truly believed the opportunity was worth it? #sales #salesdevelopment #startups #career #sdrs #bdrs #nyc #sf

5 words changed how I train my sales team. "Live to fight another day." - Shawn Sease Most salespeople treat every cold call like it has to convert right there on the spot: - If the person can't talk, they push - If the timing is wrong, they pitch anyway - If they sense hesitation, they go harder And in every case, they burn the lead forever. However, the reality of B2B cold calling in Australia is that your market is smaller than you think. You might have 150-300 genuine prospects and so you cannot afford to torch relationships early So when someone says they can't talk? THEY CAN’T TALK! It doesn’t mean they’re a lost lead. Mark them down as a future conversation, pick another time to chat & follow through on it. Exit with pressure and they block your number. Exit with respect and they remember you for the right reasons. We've recently won clients from conversations that started two years ago because we’ve learnt to show up consistently and never burn the bridge. That’s what it means to live to fight another day!

Had a chance to sit down with George Coudounaris and Adem Manderovic The B2B Playbook on their podcast last week to talk about why RevOps keeps breaking. I had eight tools open on my desktop while we were recording, one of which I'd heard of the day before. Wherein lies the problem. The best ops people I know are the most overwhelmed people in the building. Not because they're bad at the job. Because the job now means keeping up with a tool, trend and AI OS each week while the thing that actually moves revenue sits untended. Most of our conversation came back to one question: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴? Software and AI buries the stuff that matters. Nobody's checked whether there's real demand for what we sell in this market. Nobody knows who the buyer is already working with, or what would make them move. The fundamentals never got answered. So the stack ends up solving a problem three steps downstream from the one that's actually hurting you. RevOps fails because it's an architecture problem, not a sales problem. Buy the best stack in the world. Put the sharpest sales methodology on top of it. If the system underneath is broken, the only thing that compounds is the mess. Fix the fundamentals first. • Is there demand? • What's the buying process? • What's missing for them in that process? • How can we improve that process?    Then reconnect marketing, sales and CS so those answers feed the system instead of leaking out at every handoff. Full podcast in the comments!
