Back in 2013, Lightspeed had 100 employees. Today, it’s a global company with over 3,000 team members, 150,000 customers across 100 countries, 10+ acquisitions, and dual listings on the TSX and NYSE. As Head of Global Corporate Events, I designed and led the company’s international event strategy, supporting every stage of growth — shaping the brand experience from bold startup to publicly traded company. When I walked through the door back in 2013, I could not have imagined the journey I was embarking on. We hit record month after record month, moved into a castle, had an amazing IPO, helped our customers thrive through a global pandemic, and so much more, all by working together as one. I'm proud of everything that we accomplished, but am even more proud of the way that we did it. There’s a lot that makes Lightspeed special, but the people definitely top that list - thank you to all of you who made the past 10 years memorable. JD St-Martin, Andrew Fraser, Ana Wight, & JP Chauvet - thank you for your leadership and mentorship through the past few years. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from all of you.
