Hydra is no longer a myth… It's now powering #SouthAfrica with the largest hybrid renewable energy project in Africa! ☀️🇿🇦 In Northern Cape province, TotalEnergies and its partners Hydra Storage Holding and Reatile Renewables have just inaugurated this project, combining a 216-megawatt solar plant and a 500-megawatt-hour battery storage system to deliver clean firm #power from 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. to the grid. The facility will dispatch more than 400 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year, equivalent to the consumption of approximately 200,000 South African households 🏡, marking a significant contribution to the country’s Just Energy Transition program that aims to decarbonize the economy thanks to #renewableenergy sources. A shorter route can make a big difference... From the Pacific Coast of #Mexico to customers across Asia, the first ECA LNG cargo is on its way! 🚢🇲🇽 Thanks to its strategic location, this terminal enables U.S. natural gas to be exported to Asia and other Pacific Basin markets via the shortest maritime route, reducing transportation times and costs. As a shareholder in the project, TotalEnergies will offload 1.7 million tonnes per year of LNG for 20 years from the start of commercial operations. 👷♀️ Too many young women still rule out engineering too early.    We recently welcomed some of them into our Digital Factory to explore what careers in data and engineering actually look like. Alongside Elles bougent, TotalEnergies has been working for years to encourage more young women to consider technical paths. Our mentors shared their journeys, to make these careers more concrete and accessible.
