This is an important milestone in our journey toward building a truly multimodal #AI companion for our learners. This one feels especially personal to me. I’ve loved drawing since I was a child, but I don’t get to draw very often. Now I get to bring together the cutting-edge tech we’re building at Simply with real pencil-in-hand drawing and it makes me really excited to draw again 🎨 For us at Simply, it’s about helping creativity and learning feel more natural: less tied to the screen, and more connected to the world around you. That’s what excites us most - innovation and real-world value coming together in a way that feels useful, natural, and genuinely exciting. Adding Meta’s announcement in the comments. We brought Simply stations for guitar, piano, drawing, and singing, and the morning filled with so much energy and creativity. Hanukkah is often called the festival of light, and in its own simple way, the space really did feel a little brighter. The kids were creating, trying, laughing, and sharing moments with the people around them, the staff took part. Earlier this year we opened a first-of-its-kind music room at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, where music is formally integrated into the healing and rehabilitation process. This morning strengthened our confidence and understanding of how powerful creativity can be when it’s built thoughtfully into care and wellbeing services, and how much impact it can have when done right. I’m incredibly proud of this milestone, and of the intense, focused chapter that led us here. Over the past year and a half, we poured enormous energy into strategy and execution to earn the trust of world-class investors and build real momentum. I’ve stayed quiet while we put the capital to work, and now that it’s official, I want to thank our outstanding investors and the exceptional Factify team who made this possible. And now for my personal news: as we close out the quarter, I’m passing the torch to Gilad Ben-Nahum, who will lead the next era of Factify’s product and growth. I’m leaving the CPO seat with a $73M tailwind, a strong foundation in place, and deep confidence in what’s ahead for the company. And now, back to the drawing board :)

Our Mindspan Labs team is growing! There's so much talk about agentic AI and its been fun testing out its capabilities. Currently we has 6 persistent Claude-based agents on the team: Chief of Staff VP Prod Marketing CTO 2xVP Eng (one for each project) Head of Dev/Agent Ops We are still in the early days and my experience has been hit and miss, so a few learnings: - Yes, I said Claude. I was an early adopter of clawdbot > moldbot > openclaw and had a lot of fun and success with these. But, I was always a bit queezy about security, permissions, etc. for this open source project. Recently, Claude added functionality to allow me to switch. - These agents run on a separate PC, with their own permissions, and a shared google workspace account. I used a PC because I had an extra. Many people use Mac minis. I didn't give them admin privileges, so I still need to approve some functions. - The CoS has its own email, too. I don't provide full access to my email, files, etc. Rather I treat the agents like I would a new employee and give them access to what they need via google workspace. Then I delegate calendar access to the CoS so it can monitor my calendar and setup new meetings. - Managing agents is very similar to managing humans. They need a clear job description, clear task delegation, coaching, follow-up, feedback, and even praise (on this latter point, I am not suggesting they have emotions. But the algo responds to positivity). People who are good people managers will likely find managing AI agents easier versus those who aren't. - Like humans, it's important to have review and alternative feedback. That's why I have our Head of Agent/Dev Ops Agent. Its able to look across the team to find areas of improvement and optimization, and help me assess our learnings when we create new agents. When one of my agents seems to be going awry, I engage the Agent/Dev Ops Agent to help me figure this out. - More agents means MORE WORK. Everyone I know who is doing this says the same thing. In addition to continuing to evolve the agents and their workflows, more agents means you can get more done. But, you still need to do the real thinking and oversight. The easier stuff gets delegated, leaving the human to focus on higher level tasks and coordination. So that means a lot of brain cycles and context switching. I am always ready for a walk and recharge by noon, and ready for a glass of bourbon or Bordeaux (Washington grown, of course) at the end of the day. It's exhilarating and exhausting at the same time! My GitHub repo is in comments plus a how to guide from my Agents/Dev Ops agent. BUYER BEWARE: I am a tinkerer, not a qualified engineer. So I'm sure this is not the best setup and appreciate ANY and ALL feedback! Special thanks and credit to my good friend Peter Horadan. We've been collaborating on these bots for months. I got us started with clawd and then he got us transitioned to Claude. Friends are even more valuable in the AI era!
