Very proud of them!Guy Einy shared thisMy wife is 9 months pregnant and we recently got into it over the smell of my omelettes. It was not about the omelettes. People don't fight about what they think they fight about. I should know - I'm building a relationship product and I still fall for it. We go through all of our anonymized onboarding responses at Bonds. Real people in the U.S. telling us, in their own words, what's going on in their relationship. Someone wrote that their last argument was about fingerprints on the fridge. Another said it started when she asked if he'd bought her a bag of chips. Another, a water bottle left out. Fingerprints. On the fridge. But then they all say some version of the same thing: it wasn't really about that. It was about feeling invisible. About doing everything and having none of it noticed. About asking for something small and getting rage back instead of a bag of chips. The surface argument is rarely the real argument. More often, the real argument is: do I matter to you? Across thousands of these responses, the same things keep coming up. People want to be heard without being fixed. They want their invisible effort noticed. Plenty of people crave affection that isn't sexual - just feeling safe in someone's presence. And one very nice lady may just want her husband to open the window before cooking an omelette just to show he cares. 😅 Nobody's asking for a movie moment. People just want to feel like they matter in the ordinary ones. That's exactly the kind of reality Bonds has to make sense of every day. And we just rebuilt a big part of the product to get much better at doing that. More on that soon.

(רק אל תגלו את זה למראיין.) זו כבר לא בדיחה. כמעט 300 אלף משרתי מילואים חיים היום בין שני עולמות. מצד אחד עבודה, קריירה ומשפחה. מצד שני, צו שמגיע מהיום למחר ולוקח אותנו לעוד 100 ימי מילואים. וזה לא עוצר רק את החיים. זה גם עוצר קריירות. אני לא מאשים את המעסיקים. להפך. יש מעסיקים מדהימים שיעשו הכול כדי לאפשר לי להמשיך לשרת. אבל אי אפשר לצפות מכל עסק לשאת לבדו במחיר של ביטחון המדינה. את המעסיקים המדהימים האלה אנחנו מוקירים בתו המילואים. כדי לדבר על מעסיקים שעושים את הדבר הנכון, אבל גם כדי להתחיל דיון אחר: לא רק איך מגנים על מילואימניקים, אלא איך הופכים את העסקתם לכדאית. איך משנים את הסיפור הזה שמילאומניקים הם לא עול, הם חוד החנית גם במשרד. בשבוע שעבר כתבתי מאמר דעה על התופעה הזאת ועל הפתרונות האפשריים. אני מקווה שהוא יפתח דיון על שאלה אחת פשוטה: איך דואגים לכך ש-500 ימי מילואים בקורות החיים יהיו יתרון, ולא סיבה לא לזמן לראיון?

While most ensembles involve clear quality/cost tradeoffs, the smartest approaches actually outperform frontier models on both quality and cost. What we’ve learned is that every task has its own optimal ensemble and execution strategy — and that’s the future we’re excited to build at AI21 🚀Guy Einy liked thisBy staffing our coding agent pipeline like a team, we got a state-of-the art 80.8% resolve rate on SWE-Bench Pro for just $5.99/task 🔥 The idea: most of a coding agent's work is exploration: searching the repo, trying fixes, running tests. That work is token-heavy and doesn't need frontier quality. So we staff the pipeline like a team: - Juniors (an open model, run in parallel) fan out across the repo. Not every attempt lands, but together they map where the fix lives. 65% of the budget lives here. - A senior (a cheap closed model) reads their attempts and writes up what the fix depends on. This takes 10% of the budget. - The principal (a frontier model) writes the final patch from that prepared brief. Pushed to the last call, this uses just 25% of the budget. Guy Einy liked thisGuy Einy liked thisI'm currently funemployed but I really wanted to use Claude to build something that would be beneficial to me in my day to day right now - not a blog generator in the right brand voice or an agent that extracts insights from a sales funnel (useful sure, not useful to me in this current moment). I'm 9 years into my tenure as an ex-pat living in Israel and to put it gently, let's just say my Hebrew still isn't fluent. One of the things I struggle with the most is reading and making sense of the (what feels like) millions of texts I receive in Hebrew Whatsapp groups. One of the most intimidating feelings in the world is opening a Whatsapp group filled within 100 unread messages in HEBREW and simply ignoring them because I don't have the energy to try and translate one by one, word by word. So I opened my laptop and said "yo claude. please help me with this DAILY EXISTENTIAL STRUGGLE." I didn't use Claude Code at first because I knew there wasn't a Whatsapp MCP so what Claude did is walk me through building it manually via Terminal -- line by line of code, testing to see what worked and what failed. The first iteration of "Project Help Olivia Understand Her Hebrew Whatsapp Groups" took 3+ hours to build. Claude's output failed a LOT and it was a back and forth of sometimes extremely frustrating trial and error. Once I had a working prototype I moved to Claude Code to help me refine the flow and run it automatically. And this where I got super excited. Within a few minutes I had an email in my Gmail Inbox (see below) of a Daily Whatsapp Summary highlighting all the important topics I had missed in my myriad of Hebrew only whatsapp groups. And the best part is that Claude didn't just translate verbatim - it actually summarizes the key topics and takeaways so I can, at a glance, see what I missed. Now every morning and evening I receive my concise translated summary of everything that's been happening in the Hebrew speaking world around me. It's a genuine value add to my day! In conclusion, what I learned about B2B sales from building my translation agent... KIDDING. But it was really fun! And PS I'm taking on 1 or 2 clients who are early stage startups looking for someone to build their phase 1 marketing strategy and kickoff the execution. Guy Einy liked thisGuy Einy liked thisעל פרידות, התחלות ומפקד שהפתיע אותי אחד הדברים הכי מאתגרים במילואים הוא התחלופה. יוצרים קשרים, לומדים לעבוד יחד, מפתחים שפה משותפת - ואז מישהו עובר תפקיד, יוצא לקצונה, ממשיך הלאה. השנה זה קרה עם מפתח סופר מוכשר, עם ים כישרון. ידעתי שאני יכולה לסמוך עליו, להתייעץ איתו והרגשתי שאנחנו מדברים באותה שפה ואז הוא יצא לקצונה והאמת שאני כל כך גאה בו. אבל הוא בהחלט חסר. ואז הגיע מפקד חדש. ומה שהפתיע אותי? הוא לא רק מבין את החשיבות של UX/UI - הוא רוצה להעביר אותה לכל המדור. פתאום, מה שנראה כמו אובדן הפך להזדמנות. עכשיו אני עובדת עם כמה אנשים מוכשרים על קורס UX/UI למפתחים - על החשיבות, על מתודולוגיית עבודה, עקרונות, תהליך וצורך,במטרה אחת: שהמערכות הבאות ייבנו יחד, בשיתוף פעולה אמיתי מההתחלה, כשהמשתמש במרכז. שינוי אנשים מביא שינוי נקודת מבט. ולפעמים זה בדיוק מה שהיה חסר.

Guy Einy liked thisGuy Einy liked thisלפני מספר שבועות עמדנו בפני אחד הרגעים המורכבים שידענו ב- AI21 Labs, ונפרדנו מכ-110 עובדות ועובדים. למרות שכלפי חוץ אנחנו מזוהים כחברת AI, מה שמגדיר והגדיר את AI21 לאורך השנים זה קודם כל קבוצה של אנשים מדהימים שבאו לבנות משהו גדול ביחד. עברנו יחד כמה מהתקופות הכי סוערות בתעשייה הזאת. מי שנמצא בעולם ה-AI יודע שהמציאות יכולה להשתנות דרמטית כל כמה שבועות. בתוך כל הטירוף הזה תמיד היה משהו אחד יציב: האנשים. אני לא יודע אם יש דרך טובה לעבור אירוע כזה, אבל Yoav Shoham ואני, יחד עם צוות ההנהלה, השתדלנו לנהל את התהליך בצורה המכבדת ביותר שיכולנו. למדנו בשבועיים אינטנסיביים שיעורים על אחריות, הצלחה, וגם ענווה. ועם ההבנה והתחושות האלו, הגעתי לפני מספר ימים להשתתף בכנס AI בוותיקן, שארגן האפיפיור לאו ה-14, ולייצג את ישראל (יחד עם Dan Lahav מ-Irregular). השתתפו בו מנהיגים, חוקרים ויזמים מהחברות המובילות בעולם, שדיברו על ההיבטים הטכנולוגיים, הכלכליים, המוסריים והביטחוניים של AI. היה לי העונג לנהל שיחות עומק עם אנשים כמו מארק בניוף (מנכ״ל Salesforce), ארבינד קרישנה (מנכ״ל IBM) ואחרים. כביכול 180 מעלות מהדבר שהרגע עברנו. אבל שני רעיונות בלטו במיוחד, וחזרו שוב ושוב גם בנאומים וגם ב־Encyclical שהאפיפיור פרסם: אנושיות וענווה. ענווה במובן של לזכור לטובת מה אנחנו בונים. להבין שטכנולוגיה היא לא המטרה; היא אמצעי. בסוף השאלה היא תמיד איך היא משפיעה ובתקווה גם מיטיבה עם האדם. ואי אפשר היה שלא לחשוב על מה שעברנו ב-AI21 לפני כמה שבועות, ועל האנשים הרבים שעזרו לבנות את החברה, שהשקיעו כאן את הכישרון, האנרגיה והאמונה שלהם. לקחתי איתי מהוותיקן בחזרה לתל אביב את ההבנה שענווה ואמביציה הן לא כוחות מנוגדים, וקיבלתי תזכורת נוספת שכשבונים משהו גדול, אסור לשכוח שהכל מתחיל ונגמר באנשים. אני רוצה לנצל את ההזדמנות ולהגיד תודה. תודה לכל מי שהיה חלק מהמסע הזה עד כה, ולכל מי שעדיין. על העבודה, על החברות, על הוויכוחים, על הלילות הארוכים, ועל האמונה בדרך ובאחד בשנייה. עכשיו אנחנו יוצאים לפרק חדש, ממוקד יותר ומלהיב ביותר. אבל זה לפוסט הבא.
