Highly recommend everyone to try their hands on this newly launched product. #madeinindiaLakshay Jain shared thisNO, I did not build this product in an hour using AI It took time, broken flows, failed builds, confused console logs, and a lot of “okay wait, how does this actually work?” moments. But Rec’d Club is live recdclub.in Rec’d Club is a social platform for movie and show recommendations. You can send a pick to a friend or crew, add why you think it will land, get a verdict back, and build your taste reputation over time. Basically: Your friends recommend better than algorithms. Rec’d Club gives those recommendations receipts. As designers, we usually think deeply about flows, screens, interactions, and user behaviour. But building this pushed me into the other side of the product too. I had to understand how Google Auth works. How users are created and remembered. How databases connect to the product. How schemas are structured. How SQL tables talk to each other. How one user can send a request to another. How recommendations, verdicts, crews, watchlists, and profiles need to exist as connected systems, not just screens. More than anything, it helped me understand system thinking. Not just designing isolated screens, but understanding how a product actually works and functions as a system. How one action affects another. How data moves from one place to another. How states change based on user behaviour. How the backend supports the frontend. How every small interaction needs logic, memory, permissions, and context behind it. And honestly, that changed how I look at design. Because a product is not just a beautiful interface. It is the logic behind the button. The relationship between two users. The database row that decides what someone sees. The edge case when something fails. The empty state when nothing exists yet. The flow that still makes sense after refresh, logout, or error. Rec’d Club taught me that design and backend are not two separate worlds. The screen is only the visible part. The real product lives in the system underneath. Still early. Still evolving. Lakshay Jain shared thisMy time at Creative Convergence, a British Council event supported by The Design Village, really stuck with me. It was a significant experience because it highlighted the India-EU connection concerning a shared sustainable future, and how much handloom and handicrafts matter in that picture. I got to listen some amazing craftspeople from Kutch and Bhuj, along with indigenous designers, who are all working together to make the Indian craft scene shine on a global stage. One project that stood out, which was supported by Royal Enfield, aimed to protect not just the artisans' identities but also the specific regional weaving techniques they use. The concept was to weave a kind of self-portrait, celebrating and preserving the textures, techniques, and unique patterns found in handmade work. Thousands of these portraits are now used to teach weave onshore. This whole experience really boosted my sense of self-reliance, my desire to promote local crafts worldwide, and my motivation to contribute to my country through my craft. All the discussions and the work shown by the designers left me absolutely amazed and inspired to put in that extra effort and give my all for my Matri Bhoomi. This conference helped me reconnect with my background and my Kala Sadhna, making me more understanding and prouder of where I come from. #design #mentor #atmanirbharbharat #india

Psychology calls this the illusion of knowledge - the tendency to overestimate how much we understand. Once we believe we've "figured it out," curiosity fades, learning slows, and blind spots multiply. Growth often begins when we become aware of how much we don't know. The closed jar represents certainty. The belief that we've already figured things out. That our opinions are complete. That our understanding is sufficient. And certainty is seductive. It feels like confidence. But often, it's the moment learning stops. The open jar represents something far more powerful: Intellectual humility. Not thinking less of yourself. But recognizing that reality is always more complex than your current understanding of it. Socrates built an entire philosophy around this idea: "I know that I know nothing." Not because he was ignorant. But because he understood that wisdom begins where arrogance ends. The people who grow the fastest aren't always the smartest. They are the ones who stay curious. They ask questions after everyone else thinks they have the answers. They listen when others defend. They explore when others conclude. Because growth doesn't come from protecting what you know. Another global consulting giant has disclosed a breach, this time involving an IT support platform used by EY staff supporting tax-related client work. According to EY, an unauthorized third party gained access to a third-party IT service management platform and downloaded documents containing client tax data during a roughly two-week period this spring. The company has since notified affected clients and filed breach notifications with the California Attorney General. This is another reminder that your security posture is only as strong as your third-party ecosystem. Key takeaways: • Third-party platforms remain a high-value target for attackers. • IT support systems often have privileged access to sensitive business data. • Vendor risk management can't be a compliance checkbox, it needs continuous monitoring. • Zero Trust, least-privilege access, MFA, and continuous detection are essential, but organizations also need strong visibility into their suppliers and support tools. The attack surface keeps expanding, cyber resilience must extend beyond your own network.
